2 Month Dr. Visit

Charlie had his two month dr. visit yesterday. Here are his stats:

Weight: 12 lbs 11 oz (75th percentile)
Height: 22.5 inches (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15.5 inches (50th percentile)

The good news is he is growing and healthy. He had a couple shots and only cried for a minute.

And the bad news....

They confirmed his cradle cap was pretty bad. She told us to put baby oil on it and scrub with a soft brush - its already looking better.

The rash on both his arms? Eczema. She did say most babies grow out of it. For now, we are to lather on cetaphil cream and aquafor.

Our baby has a flat spot on his head. I'm most concerned with this. It appears to be on right side. When he sleeps, he faces the right so he's developed a slight flat spot. We're going to put a blanket wedge under his head so he faces left at night. If it doesn't correct itself, he'll have to wear a helmet 23 hours a day. Poor Charlie. :( We're going to do our best to not have him lay with his face facing to his right.

Look at that growing boy!!!

What we did with Tay for the flat spot was rotate how she slept. One night, her head was at the head of the bassinet. Then, the next night, her head was at the foot of the bassinet. She liked to always face the wall so we just rotated how she was and she got even pressure on both sides of her head. We started noticing the flat spot and once we did this, it slowly didn't appear as noticeable! :)

I can't believe that he is already 2 months old, how is that possible? And I agree with Dorothy, NO helmets. Poor Charlie.
