Update to Mystery Shopper

I decided to go to the BRU (babies r us) by my work today to see if I could talk to someone who wasn't as passionate about "privacy issues." The guy at the registry desk told me they do not have the information I wanted but I should call the BRU Customer Care Line.

I called the number at 7:00 pm and got a hold of a live person! They were able to quickly tell me who bought the glider and the personal message that should have been in the box. I was so surprised and thrilled they had the information. I've heard BRU has great selection but their customer service is not so hot. Rob and I have been victims to their customer service level a couple times so I didn't expect to figure this mystery out with the help of the store.

If you ever run into an issue or have a question, I would totally recommend you call their hotline. The number is 1-888-222-9787.

Off to write a thank you note!

Mystery Shopper

Yesterday, the glider we registered for was delivered.

When the box came and Rob wasn't home, I decided to go ahead and open it because I HAD to know who bought it for us.

The box and glider aren't light but I managed to get the glider out by my pregnant self thankyouverymuch but there was no packing slip, note, etc.

I called Babies R Us to see if they can tell me the last name of the person who bought it (I'm assuming they used a credit card). The sales associate told me I can not have this information - they will not give it to me because of "privacy issues" and "sometimes the buyer doesn't want the parents to know who bought the item." Um...I can see that if they had it delivered to their home or were buying it at the store, but when they ship it directly to me, don't you think they would want us to know who sent it?

This is my attempt to see if I can find out who is the generous gift giver - if you have any information, please let me know so I can thank them/you.

P.s. I LOVE it :)

Pregnancy Quiz

How far along? 26 weeks - next week I'll be in my 3rd trimester!!

Total weight gain/loss: +24 lbs. Doctor said today that I'm "doing well' with my weight, meaning I didn't gain too much weight this time.

Maternity clothes? Thanks to Jen, I have more variety now. She gave me some jeans, dresses and tops. I'm very thankful for them!

Stretch marks? Rob kindly pointed out to me the other day that I might have the start of my first stretch mark on my belly. Since then the mark is gone so I think it was just my pants making an impression on my skin. I showed him a couple days later that it was gone. He looked at my hip and said "THAT's a stretch mark." Yeah, that was from years ago. Thanks, babe!

Sleep: I got a Boppy body pillow and I have been sleeping better ever since. It is challenging switching sides every hour with the pillow but it is helping with my hip pain.

Best moment this week: Having a weekend with minimal plans. It was nice to lounge around the house and do little to nothing and hanging out with my boys.

Movement: All the the time. I have a future gymnist in my belly.

Food cravings: Not really.

Gender: Boy

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

What I miss: Tuna melts.

What I am looking forward to: Our 3D/4D ultrasound in October. (same as last month)

Milestones: Last week I got the news that I passed my glucose test so no gestational diabetes for me! They did tell me I am slightly anemic so now I have to take iron pills which have a side effect of constipation. Awesome.

Bob is the size of an English hothouse cucumber and weighs about 1 2/3 pounds. (Length: 14 inches, head to heel.)

3-Year Wedding Anniversary

Our 3rd wedding anniversary was on Wednesday, September 9.

I came home to find 3 red roses in the kitchen, one for every year.

Here we are before heading off to dinner at Fuzia in Morgan Hill.

When we got home we watched our wedding video. We watch it every year on our anniversary. I always get emotional watching it. I'm happy because I remember how happy I was on that day and how awesome the day was. I remember our friend Paul told me "everyone thinks their wedding was the best." I think he's right and it should be that way. So yeah, ours was the best. :) I also get a little sad because I know we could never re-create that day again but I am so glad we got the day on video. I also get teary eyed when we say the vows to each other that we each wrote. The wedding details that I spent many hours on, all of our close friends and family surrounding us, and the toasts were so heartfelt and funny - ok, again, I loved everything! I look forward to watching the video with Bob and Baby Wagner #2 (...and #3?).

We didn't do gifts this year, but we did recently buy a leather couch so I am going to dedicate that as our "leather" anniversary gift to each other.

Thanks poo for a great three years!

Happy Viability Day

This week marks the week of a milestone in Bob's viability (note, his name isn't really Bob, but that's what we have been calling him ever since Jen's husband Brad nicknamed him Bob).

About 50 to 70 percent of babies born at 24 to 25 weeks, and more than 90 percent born at 26 to 27 weeks, survive.

This may be a little morbid, but it's a milestone nonetheless.

At 24 weeks, Bob is about the size of an ear of corn, almost a foot long.

Frozen Watermelon Virgin Margaritas

We celebrating Labor Day today poolside with the Beiers. The only labor intensive thing I did today was make Frozen Watermelon Virgin Margaritas and I'll let you in on a little secret: they were pretty easy to make.

I recommend this to anyone who is pregnant or someone who wants to pretend he/she is drinking a margarita but wants to spare the calories. I found this on the weight watchers recipe board years ago and never tried it. Recipe makes four servings if you pour in little glasses, or two servings if pouring in a full sized glass. I topped it off with whipped cream but I'm sure it's still tasty without it. I didn't do the garnish because that would have been too much labor for me to endure.

Frozen Watermelon Virgin Margaritas - 1 point

4 cups watermelon chunks, seeds removed
6 Tbsp fresh lime juice
2 Tbsp sugar
4 cups ice
1/8 tsp table salt
1/2 lime(s), cut into wedges for garnish

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients, except lime wedges, in a blender; puree until smooth. Divide among 4 glasses. Garnish with lime wedges.

Baby Kicks

A couple weeks ago, I had Rob put his hand on my stomach to see if he could feel ________ <----(insert name) but he couldn't feel anything.

Two nights ago, the baby was being pretty active so I went over to Rob on the couch and asked him to put his hand on my stomach, I also placed his arm so it was draping over the rest of my stomach since he seems to kick on the sides rather than right in the middle. I felt a kick and said "Did you feel that?" and he said "Yeah, but on my arm" and I said "That's him!". He said "Hi _____" then, about 3 seconds later, he kicked again. I think Rob said something like "Whoa!" and was done with that little exercise.

I think Rob liked it, but it is a little trippy I must say!

Let's Hear it for the Boys!

Someone is nesting......and it ain't me!

In the last few months, Rob has been working on one project after another around the house. Well, I should say Rob and my dad since my dad has helped with a lot of the projects. Rob works from home so when he doesn't have any meetings or meetings to prep for, he works on his projects.

Please note we moved into our house just over a year ago so these projects have been stacking up! In addition to projects, we've also bought some goodies for the house.

#1 - Fill hole in the bar area - the prior owners decided to take their beverage center with them. We lived here for a year with the hole looking like this:

We started using the space for storage and put some empty electronics boxes in there...

Here is our new and approved beverage center:

#2 - Surround Sound - We have surround sound speakers built into the ceiling of our family room. Rob got a new surround sound system and hooked it up so the sound comes through the built in speakers.

The outdoor speakers work now too...

...as do the speakers built into our bathroom ceiling.

#3 - Hired a pool guy to help balance our pool chemicals and install the fiber optic pool lights.

#4 - Got a clock for outside.

#5 - Hung up our TV in the office and the shelves my dad built. Oh, and figured out the wiring situation so we could actually watch TV on the TV.

#6 - Got leather couch for office (Costco, great deal!!)

#7 - Bought and cut out pool cover to fit our pool. Rob's not entirely sure he loves the pool cover but we're going to use it for awhile to keep the heat in and probably not use it in the fall.

#8 - A big one: organize the garage. It is still a work in progress, but Rob's been working really hard on this. We had a bunch of stuff sitting in our 3rd car spot so he got some shelves at home depot to line along the walls to free up some space.

#9 - Figured out the outdoor lighting situation. On various trees and plants, there are these mini spotlights but we haven't been able to figure out how to turn them on. Rob found the switch in the garage. It was behind all of our crap.

#10 - Measured cubby space so my dad could build a little shelf for the electronics in our master bedroom.

#11 - Rob got a new amp holder. I think that's what it is called.

#12 - Purchased a Canon EOS Rebel T1i EF-S 18-55mm IS Kit so we can take some neat pics of Baby Wagner when he arrives (and Buddy).

#13 - Figure out how to use Rebel. We havent' started this project yet.

Projects I've been working on...

#1 - I bought this rug at Target.

#2 - I'm growing a human.
