My manager told me on Tuesday that I finally looked pregnant. She jokes with me that I shouldn't be able to go out on leave yet because I don't look big enough. A couple hours later, my coworker said "wow, looks like you popped!" So when I got home, I decided to take an updated picture. This is at 31 weeks, 1 day.
Since then, I've had a couple more people at work ask when I'm due. Yesterday at work we were having a Halloween party and one of our managers asked me when I was due. I told him I'm not pregnant. Quickly I said "just kidding!" Then there were a couple nervous laughs around me. I know, I'm rotten. An employee next to me whom I never met said "I was going to ask you the same question but you are never supposed to ask a woman that - at least that's what my wife says." I said "she taught you well!" I don't mind people asking, I just thought I'd have a little fun.

4 weeks
My last day at work before my maternity leave is four weeks from today. This makes me happy - and very stressed out. Each time I finish something at work, a few more things fall into my lap. I really don't know how I'm going to get everything done in the next four weeks.
I had a little meltdown tonight but I'm feeling better. Thanks poo for giving me love and listening when I need to complain/vent/cry. And Buddy, thanks for laying next to me and giving me kissies when I need it the most!
I'm going to go take a bath and try to relax. I know stressing is doesn't do any good for the baby.
Thanks for listening...

My friend will be on Oprah.
Ok, so we're not "friends" but we did do business together. Marina from Just Cake in Capitola made our wedding cake and will be on Oprah this Thursday 10/29. They are calling the show "The Biggest Stars of Reality TV". We've seen Marina on the Food Network where she won a few wedding cake challenges but I think its so cool she will be on Oprah. By the way, I just realized I had a dream last night that someone got me tickets to Oprah for Christmas. Maybe I was having a psychic moment - a little foreshadowing if you will? To check out her cakes, go to www.justcake.com
I also had a dream last night that my garage door opened and closed 19 times before finally closing (we are having some issues with our garage door).
That's all for now!

Pregnancy Quiz
How far along? 30 weeks, 1 day. More than 75% completed!
Total weight gain/loss: +30 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Ohhh yes.
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: Hip pain seems to be getting better. Some nights are better than others.
Best moment this week: On Sunday my mom organized a onesie decorating party with people who are going to my shower. This was my sister's idea and my mom thought it would be a bit difficult to do at the restaurant where my shower is being held. It was going to be a surprise to me - she was going to bring all of the onesies to the shower and explain they all got together to decorate. In the end, I was the one who was surprising people because at the last minute, my mom invited me to come along. :) Dorothy hosted it at her house - it was a lot of fun and Bob will have some very creative onesies to wear. My mom is going to bring them all to the shower so everyone can see them.
The other highlight was the 3D/4D ultrasound.
Movement: Yes.
Food cravings: Not really.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Laying on my stomach and back. I can technically lay on my back, but I'm not supposed to. It's starting to get a little difficult putting shoes on as well.
What I am looking forward to: My shower in a couple weeks - should be fun!
Other Updates: I've been going to the dr. every 4 weeks. Going forward I will be going every 2 weeks (then eventually, every week). I'm excited to hear Bob's heartbeat again in 2 weeks - I love going to the dr.'s. :) I also learned today that baby size is usually relevant to mama's birth weight. This makes me nervous because I was around 9.5 lbs. :( She said if Bob seems to be measuring big, they'll do an ultrasound and induce me if they feel its necessary but they do not induce before 39 weeks. I was really hoping for a January baby but I don't want to wait too long if he is going to be very large. Time will tell!
Bob weighs about 3 lbs (the same as a head of cabbage) and is about 15.7 inches long.

3D/4D Ultrasound
Yesterday, we went to Prenatal Peek in San Jose with my parents and Rob's parents for a 3D/4D ultrasound.
We got confirmation that Bob is still a boy - now we can start painting the room blue!
As soon as the technician turned on the screen she said "looks like he is going to have a lot of hair!" Both Rob and I were born with a decent amount of hair - no bald babies for us! For some reason when I think of Bob, I see him bald in my mind.
He was being very stubborn and kept hiding his face into my hip. He also liked to press his face up against my body (placenta?) so we didn't get a good view of this face. Here are the best pictures of his face - looks like he may have some chubby cheeks!
I think this picture is kind of scary looking, but you can see him with his mouth open:
Bob covering his ear.
It was fun and neat to see him, I just wish he was in a better position. I guess we'll just have to wait another 10 weeks!

29 weeks
Last night, my father in law said a couple times "your face looks really different!"
Remember this?

Hmm....
Today Bob weighs 2.5 lbs, approximately as heavy as a butternut squash (how festive!) and is a tad over 15 inches.
Me at 28 weeks, 5 days.

Dual Compression Shorts
Rob and I went to the Reebok, Adidas and Nike outlets today to find some new shorts for Rob. We were at Adidas and Rob found a pair that he liked. After further inspection, we realized these were "dual shorts" or "compression shorts". We didn't really know what that was but I looked around and saw an employee a few feet from where I was, standing by the door next to a big rack of basketballs, playing with a basketball, looking bored. Well, I decided to put this guy to work!
"Can you tell me what dual shorts are?" -Me to guy
"Are they training shorts or basketball shorts?" -Guy
"Umm..well we got them from this rack...so I guess they are training shorts." -Me
"Well, there are two kinds. One kind keeps your junk in place and the other type keeps your leg muscles warm." -Guy
"Aw, ok, Probably not what I'm looking for." -Rob
"Thanks for your help!" -Me
As we walked away I said, "he said junk!"
I thought it was kind of funny that he said junk - probably not the most professional thing to say.
"Yeah, I don't think he works here." -Rob
We looked over to where he was standing and saw him walking out the door with his buddy. For someone who didn't work there, he sure did know a lot about athletic shorts.
Ooops!
